Just a quick email to let you know about the birth of Eva.
Before I came for classes, I was having nightmares because I was so scared about the loss of control during the birth. After the classes, I felt totally different about it all. I actually understood what my body would be doing and felt like I could work with that, instead of labour being some painful horror story, like everyone else seems to try to tell you! Even though things didn't go to plan with the labour, I still feel it was quite a positive experience - which I never thought I'd be saying a few months ago and that is all thanks to you!
My HypnoBirthing idea did not go to plan! I was 16 days late so I had to be induced. They managed to break my waters on the morning of 13th January and put a drip in my hand to induce me. I used my HypnoBirthing and breathed through the surges but I obviously did that a little too well - I think they thought that the surges couldn't be strong if I was coping so well without pain medication - so turned the drip up to the maximum and over-stimulated my uterus (I think that is the expression they used!) and I was soon having constant surges. That I could breathe through. Eva was eventually born at 3:50am on the 14th.
I was elated to avoid a Section. They tried to persuade me in that direction on quite a few occasions but I think the breathing techniques managed to keep me calm enough that I asked questions and stuck to the general direction that we wanted. But both Anthony and I strongly feel that HypnoBirthing made a huge difference to me coping with everything that went on.
Thank you for your help and advice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you.
Kind Regards,

Dear Dawn,
May I say how truly impressed I am with both you and your techniques. I referred my client to you because her deep seated fears were still in the forefront of her mind even after 2 years.
I can only say that the results of her visit to you were palpable. The next day when I saw her, she couldn't stop smiling and looking relaxed. In fact just looking at her, I could tell a transformation had taken place. Her only worry was it would not last, but later the next week she still looked joyous . I feel absolutely that had she come to you earlier she would have saved herself 2 years of torment.
She said you have given her the ability to "look forward to my birth". You should be on prescription!
Yours faithfully,
Jean Anderson |

Hi Dawn,
Just to let you know all went really well. Daniel was born on 9th Feb in water weighing 7lb 15oz.
All happened v quickly - waters went at 1am, arrived at hospital at 4am, fully at 7am. did use some gas and air during 'transition', but didn't do anything. Relaxed +++ during birthing phase and just breathed him into the world.
The work I did with you was very beneficial and I can't thank you enough.
It was the labour and birth I wanted.
Thank you

Hi Dawn, Charlotte joined us on 7 Feb (bang on due date!). She was born at home. We started for real at 4am and she was born at 9.24am.
Thank you again for all your help. The effects of my sessions have absolutely stayed with me and definitely contributed to my very positive feelings about Charlotte's birth.
