You will always be in control of the costs by agreeing the maximum number of sessions you will fund; usually the number of employer funded appointments is limited to 8 x 1 hour sessions. Exceptional circumstances may require additional sessions, if is the case employees may self fund or you may choose to fund more sessions.

The hourly rate is only £50 which will be invoiced once the employee has completed his/her counselling.

Accessing the Service

Self or management referral can be made by telephone or email. All enquires will be assessed to ensure that this service is appropriate for the employee’s presented issue. Where presented issues are not supported employees will be signposted to alternative sources of help.

Counselling and psychotherapy can be accessed by telephone or through a face-to-face appointment at Life Designs office.  EMDR is only available at a face-to-face appointment.

At Life Designs:  From experience therapy works best when people go to Life Designs office.  Clients report that during the journey to and from the office they have time and space to reflect on previous appointments and focus on the next appointment.  The added bonus of this is that clients (on average) spend less time in therapy.

Over the phone:  That’s not to say that telephone counselling is not effective, it is.  Telephone counselling is ideal for people who travel for their job or live a long way from an office and want to overcome their issues and problems with me.

To make attending therapy accessible, appointments are available between 7.30am and 9.00pm.
