I have helped hundreds of people who were experiencing anxiety, grief or physical symptoms which could not be explained; some had experienced verbal, sexual or physical abuse, bullying, shocking incidents and/or accidents, which were having a detrimental effect on their lives.
Human responses to traumatic incidents can be debilitating and life changing. Statistically civilian settings (such as: violence; motor vehicle accidents; robbery; sudden bereavement through suicide, accident, natural causes; etc) rather than the widely publicised armed combat have the highest numbers of people who are likely to suffer from post traumatic stress or go on to develop post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Research shows face-to-face therapeutic interventions can significantly improve the speed of recovery and because of this I would like to help you too.
Why Come to Me?
I am fully qualified and registered to deliver counselling and psychotherapy and one of few counsellors who have specialised in psychological trauma. I have studied a range of therapeutic technique so that I can help a wide range of people who have had different experiences and symptoms.
Making An Appointment
Some people find it useful to meet for (a free) ½ hour informal chat and a coffee before deciding if therapy is going to help, others know what they want and arrange their appointment to start therapy with minimal delay.
Confidentiality and discretion are paramount; appointments are timed so you won’t accidentally meet other clients arriving or leaving your sessions. Life Designs’ office is within a building of mixed businesses; therefore you could be in the building for any number of reasons, only you and I will know why you are here.
